Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Quiz signups. When you take the Is a Border Collie Right for You? quiz and enter your email, we store your email address, your answers and your result.
- Newsletter signups. If you joined our email list through a signup form, we store your email address and the date you signed up.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser details to help detect spam.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, pages viewed, device type and approximate location (country or city). Clicky measures visits on this site without setting cookies.
- Security and delivery. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, and Wordfence, our website firewall, process IP addresses and request details to serve pages and block attacks.
- Link clicks. Some short links and share buttons record click counts along with basic details such as browser type and the page you came from.
How We Use Your Information
- To email you your quiz results.
- To send the ColliePoint newsletter with Border Collie guides and tips, if you gave us your email through the quiz or a signup form. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To publish and moderate comments and filter spam.
- To understand which guides are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
