How to Adopt a Border Collie in New Jersey
Most Border Collie rescues place dogs through foster homes. Expect an application, a reference check and a home visit before you meet a dog, and an adoption fee that usually covers vaccines, a microchip and spay or neuter surgery. Check each group’s website for current dogs, since good matches go quickly.
Our guide to adopting a Border Collie covers the questions to ask a rescue and what the first weeks at home look like.
